Brazilian player born in Sao Paulo on November 26, 1990.

He started in football at the Esporte Clube Vitória, where he played four seasons. The game changed his life and that of his family. Proud of his roots, which are part of his football name, Paulista made the leap to Europe in 2013 where he played for Villarreal CF and Arsenal FC. In the summer of 2017 he arrived to Valencia CF where he crossed paths again with Marcelino García Toral, the coach who has brought the best performances out of Gabriel.
